BNP Paribas expands German ETF sales team

BNP Paribas has announced the appointment of Katharina Anna Rost to its ETF and Index Fund Solutions team in Germany. Rost's duties will involve strengthening BNP Paribas' sales capability and supporting its growth in the German, Austrian and Swiss regions.

Reporting to Claus Hecher, Head of Sales Development, Rost is focusing on promoting the company's indexed fund solutions which includes BNP Paribas' Easy range for German investors.

BNP Paribas Easy is the name of the company's collection of ETFs and index funds, enabling institutional and retail investors exposure to the equity, bond and commodity's market.

Rost joins BNP Paribas from HSBC in Dusseldorf, where she was a relationship manager in Wholesale Sales. Prior to HSBC, Rost started her career as a member of the sales support team at BlackRock in Frankfurt.

Isabelle Bourcier, Head of Quantitative & Index-based Management at BNP Paribas, said in a statement: "Germany is one of our most important European markets for indexed fund solutions, and with investor demand for our products rising, the appointment of Katharina Anna will support our growth momentum there."

Rost holds an MSc in Business and Management from Plymouth Business School and a BSc in Economics from Fontys International Business School in the Netherlands.
