Benchmark

The FTSE MTS Highest-Rated Eurozone Government Bond IG Year Index includes bonds issued by Eurozone sovereigns, and bonds must have at least two AAA ratings from the three main credit ratings agencies (Fitch, Moody’s and S&P) to become Eligible Bonds. Bonds must have a remaining time to maturity of 1 year and a minimum outstanding amount of €2 billion. If an issuer is downgraded, such issuer shall only be replaced if another issuer in turn becomes eligible in order to meet the minimum number of issuers (5 issuers) required for the index. In other words, the securities are among the highest rated debt securities of sovereign states in the Eurozone.
