The iBoxx USD Breakeven 10-Year Inflation Index is representative of the performance of a long position in US 10-Year Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS) combined with a short position in US Treasury bonds with matching durations. This index targets the spreads between inflation-linked bonds and those of traditional bond yields, thus offering an exposure to US inflation expectations without exposing to changing interest rates.
