Benchmark

The MSCI USA High Dividend Yield ESG Reduced Carbon Target Select index aims to reflect the performance of a sub-set of equity securities within the MSCI USA Index (Parent Index) and applies an optimisation process which seeks to target exposure to companies with higher dividend yield and quality characteristics whilst also seeking to achieve a carbon reduction and environmental, social and governance (ESG) score improvement relative to the Parent Index. Issuers may be excluded if they are involved in controversial, conventional, and nuclear weapons, civilian firearms, tobacco, thermal coal, oil sands and classified as violating the United Nations Global Compact principles. The Index also excludes companies based on their involvement in very severe ESG related controversies.
