The S&P 500 Scored & Screened Index is a broad-based, market-cap-weighted index that is designed to measure the performance of securities meeting sustainability criteria, while maintaining similar overall industry group weights as the S&P 500 Index. The index targets 75% of the float market capitalization of each GICS Industry Group. The index excludes securities that: 1) are involved in business activities in tobacco and controversial weapons; 2) have a low United Nations Global Compact score; or 3) have an S&P Dow Jones Index ESG Score that falls within the worst 25% of ESG scores from each GICS industry group. The reference index is rebalanced annually.
