The Markit iBoxx MSCI ESG USD Emerging Markets Sovereigns Quality Weighted Index aims to reflect the performance of the USD-denominated bonds issued by governments of emerging countries. Exposure is across the whole yield curve (minimum time to maturity of 1 year), with minimum bond rating of B- and minimum amount outstanding of USD 500 million per bond. Countries with favorable economic fundamentals and higher MSCI ESG government ratings are more represented in the index than countries with weaker economic fundamentals and lower MSCI ESG government ratings.
