Benchmark

The Markit iBoxx EUR Sovereigns Eurozone Yield Plus Index reflects the performance of tradable debt (bonds) denominated in Euro issued by Eurozone governments. Only bonds issued by the 5 highest-yielding Eurozone countries will be eligible for inclusion in the Index. To be included in the Index, countries must, 5 days before the end of the relevant month, have at least two bonds which have a remaining time to maturity of between 2.5 years and 7.5 years. The highest yielding countries are determined by calculating the income return (yield) of a hypothetical bond with a maturity of exactly 5 years. Issuers with a sub-investment grade rating are excluded from the Index.
