Benchmark
The ICE BofAML US High Yield Constrained Index measures the performance of US Dollar denominated, fixed rate sub-investment grade (based on an average rating of Moody’s, S&P and Fitch) (i.e. meet a specified level of creditworthiness) corporate FI securities publicly issued in the US domestic market. To be eligible for inclusion in the Index, the FI securities must have risk exposure to countries that are members of the FX-G10, Western Europe or territories of the US and Western Europe, at least 18 months to final maturity at the time of issuance, at least one year remaining term to final maturity as of the Index’s rebalancing date, a fixed coupon (i.e. interest) schedule and a minimum amount outstanding of USD 250 million. Zero coupon bonds (i.e. bonds that do not pay interest) are also eligible for inclusion in the Index. The Index is market capitalisation weighted, rebalances on a monthly basis and individual issuers are capped at 2% of index weight.
