The FTSE 100 Daily Leveraged Index is designed to replicate a leveraged of the performance which an investor experiences when they track the underlying reference FTSE 100 Index, with a daily reset of the leverage. The Daily Leveraged indexes reflect five aspects of the performance of leveraged indexes: (1) Capital gains associated with the underlying index; (2) Cash dividends paid by the underlying securities net of withholding tax; (3) The financing costs of leverage; (4) The spread between overnight interest rates and the longer term 12 month interest rate, and (5) Index rebalancing costs.
