Benchmark

The Bloomberg US High Yield Very Liquid Index ex 144A is based on the Bloomberg US Corporate High Yield Index (Parent Index), which reflects the performance of high-yielding fixed-interest tradable debt (bonds) denominated in US Dollar. The Index tracks a subset of bonds from the Parent Index which are more liquid and includes bonds which are issued by financial, utility and industrial institutions that meet specific maturity, credit rating and liquidity requirements. For bonds to be included in the Index, they must on the relevant rebalancing date meet certain pre-determined standards (such as eligible currency, amount outstanding, quality, maturity and level of interest payments). The bonds must have a fixed rate of interest, must be rated Ba1/BB+/BB+ or below by major rating agencies and exclude the 144A SEC tranche securities.
