More equity ETFs excludes the UK

David Tuckwell

Following iShares, Source has listed a new European equity ETF which excludes the UK.

The new Source MSCI Europe ex-UK UCITS ETF (MXUK: GR) will cover medium to large companies across 14 of Europe's richest countries.

Source's product has the same structure and tracks the same index as the iShares MSCI Europe ex-UK UCITS ETF.

Source claims that its competitive edge is its cost of 0.20 percent per annum — cheaper than iShares 0.40 percent per annum.

"Some investors may want to separate their exposures to Europe and the UK, especially after last week's election resulted in a hung Parliament," said Chris Mellor, product specialist at Source. "This ETF effectively puts them in control of the allocation."
