Amundi has hired Marco Strohmeier as head of ETF, indexing and smart beta sales for Switzerland.

In his new role, Strohmeier will report to Gaëtan Delculée, global head of ETF, indexing and smart beta sales and to Christian Trixl, CEO of Amundi Switzerland.

He joins from BlackRock, where he spent six years between 2013 and 2019 in a number of roles, including head of iShares' ETF and indexing business in Switzerland.

Prior to this, he was a client solutions manager at Coutts and cross-asset derivatives and structured product sales specialist at JP Morgan for five years.

This is not the first senior hire from BlackRock the firm has made this year. In January, Amundi poached Ashley Fagan to head up its ETF operation in the UK and Ireland.
