Lyxor has appointed Pedro Coelho as head of ETF sales for Spain, Portugal and Latin America from UBS Asset Management.

Coelho will be responsible for developing the firm’s business in those markets with a primary focus on institutional clients.

He replaces Juan San Pío, who joined Amundi as sales director in January, after 11 years with Lyxor.

At UBS AM, Coelho was head of passive and ETF sales for Iberia and Latin America for three years between 2016 and 2019.

Prior to this, he spent nine years at NN Investment Partners, most recently as wealth and asset management director for Latin America. He was also head of business development for Portugal and director, institutional clients for Iberia.

Lyxor made a number of high profile changes towards the end of last year with Matthieu Mouly returning to head of ETF sales and David Lake replacing him as UK CEO.
