JP Morgan AM poaches ETF specialist from Mirae

JP Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) has expanded its ETF team in Asia with the appointment of Nick Kim from Mirae Asset Global Investments.

Kim (pictured) will sit in the firm’s Asia Beta Strategies team, responsible for strengthening ETF client relationships and bringing its global ETF range to Asian investors.

Based in Hong Kong, he will report to Sean Cunningham, head of Asia ETFs at JPMAM.

Kim spent two years at Mirae as global ETF sales vice president having also held roles at Hana Financial Investment and VL Investment.

Cunningham commented: “With over 10 years industry experience and ETF sales expertise, Nick will enhance our team and accelerate our momentum in the Asia Pacific region, ensuring we can serve evolving client needs as they become more comfortable with trading ETFs and holding ETFs in their portfolio.”

Philippe El-Asmar, head of Asia Beta Strategies at JPMAM, added: “Our Asia Beta Strategies team has grown significantly over the past year and we are committed to continuing our expansion in the region.”
