ETF data provider Ultumus has hired Jonathan Addy as senior technical architect from IHS Markit.

In his new role, he will be working on the representation of ETF data in the firm’s user  and application programme interfaces (APIs).

Addy spent four years as a senior technical architect at IHS Markit’s DeltaOne Solutions arm, where he was responsible for overseeing the web-enabled release of its product set.

Prior to DeltaOne Solutions, he was a vice president in the Markit team between 2007 and 2015 before it merged with IHS.

Bernie Thurston, CEO of Ultumus, commented: “Jonathan’s extensive industry expertise will prove invaluable in the next stage of our expansion plan.

“We look forward to continuing to grow the business, increase market share and deliver solutions to our clients.”

Addy added: “I look forward to working alongside some of the industry’s most experienced professionals that have created a highly customisable and agile platform built on the most modern data architecture.”

Ultumus has made a number of hires in recent months including the appointment of Daniel Hodgetts as index operations head from Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) and Femi Orangun as a solutions architect from IHS Markit.
