The leading media brand for everything ETF-related in Europe, ETF Stream, has appointed Tom Eckett as editor.

Eckett (pictured) is currently ETF Stream’s deputy editor, a role he has held since last January. Prior to this, he was a senior writer for the title.

He joined the publication as a senior writer from Investment Week in March 2019 where he spent three years as an asset management correspondent.

In his new role, Eckett will lead the editorial direction of the brand including its quarterly factor investing title, Beyond Beta, along with other campaigns, webinars and reports.

Commenting on the news, Sam Ridley, managing director at ETF Stream, said: “Tom has done an outstanding job leading our editorial efforts here in Europe over the last 12 months.

“His consistent level of output spanning from news and editorial to our events and publications has really contributed to the growth and success that ETF Stream has had recently, and his move to editor will only enable us to continue this momentous drive in becoming Europe’s leading ETF publication.

Eckett added: “This is a very exciting time for ETF Stream. With ETFs seeing record growth, it is fantastic to be able to lead the editorial direction of Europe’s number one ETF media brand.

“Despite being a small team, we punch above our weight in terms of quality of content. That said, I intend to focus on improving the breadth and quality of our analysis and editorial campaigns and this is something that will be a big focus over the next 12 months.”
