Franklin Templeton has registered its 16-strong UCITS ETF range in France while listing eight of the suite on Euronext Amsterdam.

Effective 15 September, investors will be able to access the range which was already available in the US, Canada, Mexico, UK, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria and the Nordics.

Franklin Templeton entered the European ETF market in September 2017 with four smart beta ETFs. It has since expanded the suite to offer ETFs across pure passive, smart beta and active.

The eight ETFs listed on Euronext Amsterdam include its passive emerging markets and Paris-aligned climate ETFs as well as the active Franklin Liberty Euro Green Bond UCITS ETF (FLRG) and the Franklin LibertyQ Global Equity SRI UCITS ETF (FLXG).

Caroline Baron, head of ETF sales EMEA at Franklin Templeton, said: “Following successful launches of our Franklin LibertyShares ETF platforms, we are delighted to register all of our 16 UCITS ETFs in France. We see this as a natural step in the expansion of our European ETF platform in a key market.

“We continue to see considerable interest from our clients in passive and smart beta strategies that can be used as a component of a diversified portfolio to complement our traditional active fund management capabilities.”

According to data from PwC, assets in the European ETF market have been growing at an average compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 21% since 2008.

In September 2018, the US ETF provider extended its European offering after listing the Franklin LibertyQ European Equity UCITS ETF (FVUE) across major European exchanges.

A year later the suite was expanded into the Nordics for investors in Denmark, Finland and Sweden.
