HSBC Securities Services hires global product head for ETFs from Caceis

HSBC Securities Services has appointed Robert Rushe as global product head for ETF servicing from Caceis.

Based in Dublin, Rushe (pictured) will be responsible for growing HSBC’s ETF servicing offering among issuers.

In the newly created role, he will report to global product head for fund administration Ritesh Singh and joins at a time when the business is looking to grow its ETF servicing business across Europe and Asia.

Rushe, who has spent over 22 years building and developing asset servicing models for ETFs, joins from Caceis Investor Services where he was responsible for their overall product offering.

Prior to this, he was European head of ETF servicing at both BNY Mellon and State Street, spending over seven years at the latter.

Before this he held several key roles in ETF servicing at Northern Trust Securities Services where he spent over 12 years.

Rushe said: “I am pleased to be joining HSBC as the ETF market continues to grow. HSBC’s global scale, market expertise, focus on leveraging new technologies and the breadth of products within our markets and securities services business, will help ensure we continue to be the partner of choice for ETF issuers.”

In March, HSBC Asset Management appointed Isabelle Bourcier as CEO of its French business from BNP Paribas Asset Management, responsible for growing the firm’s French operations and developing its franchise across continental Europe.
