Invesco has stated that it is facing a growing demand for fixed income ETFs. To assist with managing this demand, Wayne Parker and Deepak Bharti are the new editions being introduced to Invesco's London office, joining the EMEA ETF management team, the investment giant announced today.

The pair have a total experience of 25 years within investment management. Parker previously worked at FinEx London, FourWinds Capital Management and Jefferies Bache in a variety of portfolio management roles. The new position involves managing the fixed income and multi-asset range of UCITS products in the new position at Invesco.

Bharti has moved from Deutsche Asset Management, working there for four years, progressing up to senior equity ETF portfolio manager. Prior to Deutsche AM, Bharti worked as a portfolio manager at Barclays for six years. The new role at Invesco will include managing the fixed income product range for the EMEA region. Additionally, Bharti will be enhancing the region's US ETF equity platform.

The demand Invesco is receiving from investors is for innovative and low-cost ETFs for which it has rolled out two fixed income ETFs within the EMEA market in the last two months. At the end of August this year, Invesco had roughly $10 billion in fixed income ETF AUM in the EMEA market, and is hoping to continue growing with the new additions to the team.

Raphael Stern, Head of ETF Portfolio Management EMEA, Invesco, said, "Wayne and Deepak bring exceptional experience to the EMEA team in London at a time of record demand for fixed income ETFs. Invesco is committed to building its fixed income capability and helping investors capitalise on the strong opportunities these strategies can deliver. We have a strong aspiration to expand the team further and add to our product suite and, looking ahead, expect increased activity in the fixed income space."
