JP Morgan AM snags former State Street's head of UK wealth

JP Morgan Asset Management has appointed Edward (Ted) Malcolm as Executive Director to its International ETF Business, with immediate effect.

Based in JPMAM's London offices, Malcolm is focusing on developing key ETF relationships with the firm's UK wealth and intermediary client base.

Malcolm is reporting to John Adu, Head of ETF Distribution for UK, Netherlands and Nordic countries at JPMAM.

Joining from State Street Global Advisors, Malcolm brings years of ETF experience having joined SSGA back in 2011 as Head of UK Wealth - SPDR ETFs. His duties included distributing SSGA's SPDR ETF range to private banks, wealth managers, family offices and platform, according to JPMAM.

Prior to State Street, Malcolm worked at JM Finn & Co where he contributed to the management of private client and ETF model portfolios.

Commenting on the hire, John Adu said in a statement: "We're pleased to have a hire of Ted's calibre join our team, further supporting our ongoing global ETF expansion efforts. Ted's proven ETFs expertise and his knowledge and experience in the UK market will greatly enhance an already strong team and allow us to better serve our clients."
