Moorgate Benchmarks has appointed David Mark and Nigel Hyde to its index oversight committee (IOC).

Mark has over 35 years of experience within capital markets. Notably, he established the International Index Company in 2001, a consortium jointly owned by 10 investment banks.

The firm developed the iBoxx and iTraxx indices which became the popular cash and derivative credit indices in the fixed income marketplace.

After the International Index Company was then acquired by Markit, Mark went on to spend nine years at MSCI leading relationship management for the firm’s index business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Hyde is CEO and founder of Skylight IPV, an independent price verification service provider for product control and risk management functions at financial institutions and commodity market participants.

Hyde led Markit’s Totem service that provides independent price verification of derivatives for major investment banks.

The IOC is led by independent chairman Nash Jooma.

At the beginning of September, Parker was appointed chairman for the index oversight committee at Skytra.
