MSCI appoints former UBS distribution head to lead EMEA client coverage

MSCI has appointed Axel Kilian as head of client coverage for EMEA.

Based in London, Kilian will report to Alvise Munari, global head of client coverage at MSCI.

Kilian will be responsible for overseeing MSCI’s sales, client relationship management and client service teams across EMEA.

Furthermore, he will partner with global product and research teams within the firm to implement strategies for enhanced client solutions to develop MSCI’s business across Europe.

Kilian has held several senior client management roles at financial institutions such as JP Morgan, Lehman Brothers and Nomura across the equity, derivatives and wealth segments.

Prior to joining MSCI, Kilian acted as head of ultra high net worth clients for UBS in Germany and Austria, based in Frankfurt and also held the role of global head of equity derivatives distribution and European head equity distribution at UBS based in London.

Commenting on Kilian’s appointment, Munari said: “Kilian’s experience in global markets across different client segments and products, and his direct knowledge of the wealth management industry, will add tremendous value to our global coverage efforts at MSCI.”
