People moves: BNP Paribas augments sales team

Scott Longley

BNP Paribas has announced a further strengthening of its European ETF and indexed funds sales team with the appointment of Elodie Lelief as the point of contact for French-speaking clients.

The strengthening comes as the new strategy being pursued since Isabel Bourcier joined as head of quantitative and index-based management gathers pace. ETF assets under management within the division have risen 76 percent since Bourcier was promoted to her new role.

As of the end of November, this now totals €17.4bn.

Lelief's appointment to the newly-created multi-asset, quantitative and solutions (MAQS) investment group brings the total sales team to seven. She will report to Loreaine Sereyjol-Garros, head of ETF and indexed fund solutions sales.

Lelief began her career at BNP Paribas CIB in 2006 as a financial analyst for key corporate accounts. In 2010, she joined the financial institutions coverage team as an associate, responsible for global coverage of institutional clients.

Bourcier said her appointment would enable BNPP to respond better to growing client interest in its range of Easy ETFs and indexed fund solutions.

In her new role, Lelief will cover France, French-speaking Switzerland, Monaco, Belgium and Luxembourg.
