Qontigo appoints global head of ESG

Qontigo, a subsidiary of Deutsche Boerse, has appointed Rodolphe Bocquet as global head of ESG.

Effective as of 22 September, Bocquet (pictured) will be responsible for the firm’s expansion of indexing and analytics in the ESG space.

Prior to joining Qontigo, he served as an independent sustainability consultant working with clients such as the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank.

In 2014, Bocquet co-founded Beyond Ratings where he acted as CEO for the start-up before it was acquired by the London Stock Exchange in May 2019.

He started his career within trading and risk management at Societe Generale before shifting his focus on energy and sustainability.

He went on to hold positions with Carbone 4, Conseil Regional d’Aquitaine and Eco-Carbone.

Qontigo aligns index offering with ICB classification

Holger Wohlenberg, chief business officer of Qontigo, commented: “Rodolphe is both a visionary and a practical innovator in ESG, with a range and depth of experience that adds enormous credibility and traction to our ambitious ESG expansion plans.”

Qontigo has been actively expanding its global management team in 2020 having also appointed Marc Dorfman as its global head of sales in July.
