Vanguard has expanded its ESG ETF range with the launch of a corporate bond strategy, ETF Stream can reveal.

The Vanguard ESG Global Corporate Bond UCITS ETF (V3GD) is listed on the London Stock Exchange and Deutsche Boerse with an ongoing charges figure (OCF) of 0.15%.

V3GD tracks the Bloomberg Barclays MSCI Global Corporate Float-Adjusted Liquid Bond Screened index which offers exposure to investment grade bonds from issuers across developed and emerging markets.

The index excludes companies involved in weapons, non-renewable energy, vice products and companies involved with controversies related to the UN Global Compact Principles.

V3GD will be run by the firm’s Fixed Income Group which manages more than $1.7trn assets under management (AUM) across the globe.

Commenting on the launch, Fong Yee Chan, head of ESG strategy, UK and Europe, said: “Vanguard continues to seek ways to deliver long-term ESG strategies to give value to investors.

“For those investors wishing to mitigate ESG risk or avoid companies that do not align with their values, we are pleased to offer access to an ESG global corporate bond strategy through V3GD.”

This is the second ESG ETF Vanguard has launched in Europe. In March, the US giant unveiled a global equity ESG ETF, the Vanguard ESG Global All Cap UCITS ETF (V3AA), ETF Stream revealed.
