As the fee war continues into 2020, WisdomTree has reduced the total expense ratio (TER) for its Chinese equity ETF from 75bps to 55bps.

The ICBCCS WisdomTree S&P China 500 UCITS ETF (CHIN:LN) has seen its fee lowered by 20bps for its various listings and trading currencies.

CHIN offers exposure to Chinese equity including A-Shares and offshore listings. It is the only European ETF that tracks the S&P China 500 index.

The timing of WisdomTree’s fee cut is in tandem with trade tension between China and the US beginning to ease.

Chris Gannatti (pictured), head of research, Europe, at WisdomTree, said: “CHIN provides access to all Chinese equity share classes, including A-Shares and offshore shares.

“As the US-China trade tensions have eased a bit, if economic data continues to stabilise and expectations of policy remain broadly accommodative, China could be a compelling investment opportunity.”
