AXA Investment Managers has appointed Adrian Steiner as head of ETF sales Switzerland from JP Morgan Asset Management.
Based in Zurich, Steiner (pictured) will be responsible for distributing AXA IM ETFs across Swiss wholesale and institutional markets.
He will report to Olivier Paquier, global head of ETF sales at AXA IM.
Steiner joins from JPMAM, where he spent a year in ETF distribution covering Switzerland and Luxembourg.
Prior to this, he spent six-and-a-half years in ETF and index fund client coverage for UBS Asset Management, covering the same region.
Steiner started his career with nine years across sales and investment consultancy roles at Credit Suisse.
Commenting on the hire, Paquier said: “We are delighted to welcome Adrian to AXA IM’s ETF team. Adrian will bring his extensive experience and accelerate our commercial capabilities in Switzerland, where the attraction for ETFs has developed increasingly in recent years.”
Steiner’s arrival marks just the latest effort by the firm to expand its distribution capabilities across Europe after hiring Demis Todeschini as head of ETF sales for Italy from Franklin Templeton in July.
It also marks the second time AXA IM have sought out talent from JPMAM after recruiting Paquier from the firm in January.
