Data and analytics platform ETFbook has appointed Jonathan Parsons as head of solutions.

Based in London, Parsons (pictured) will be responsible for developing and managing the firm’s strategy.

This includes developing the firm’s vision, overseeing strategic initiatives and identifying market opportunities and partnerships.

Parsons has extensive experience in the ETF industry having held roles at UBS, BlackRock and Credit Suisse.

He was a founding partner and chief operating officer at Ultumus between 2016 and 2020 before moving to a consultancy role at data and analytics solutions provider big xyt.

Commenting on the hire, Pawel Janus, co-founder and head of analytics at ETFbook, said: “Jon has been advising our company over the last couple of months, and now joins us on a full-time basis in our newly-established London office to build out key strategic initiatives we have mapped for the next couple of months with our clients and prospects.

“Jon has a wealth of experience in the ETF space, from fund structuring, through primary/secondary liquidity provision, to technology-enabled processing workflows gained during his outstanding career track at leading banks, asset managers and data vendors. ”

In April, ETF Stream announced a strategic data partnership with ETFbook to provide leading data and analysis of the European ETF market.
