Euronext Paris offices were stormed by protesters on Thursday angry with President Emmanuel Macron’s pension reforms.

Roughly 200 demonstrators forced their way into the Paris Stock Exchange in the La Défense, the city’s business district, holding flairs and calling on Macron to resign.

It comes just two weeks after the protesters also infiltrated the offices of BlackRock in the French capital.

A Euronext spokesperson confirmed the protestors entered the reception area for the Paris Euronext offices before being evacuated by the police.

“Markets were not disrupted and remain open. Operations are running as normal,” the spokesperson added.

Protests across the country continue to rage against the French government’s plans to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64.

Last week, the country’s Constitutional Council approved the plans to raise the age.

The protestors vowed to continue to fight the rise in the pension age while Macron was heckled when visiting a school in the south of France yesterday.
