Sam Ridley, Managing Director
Sam is the managing director of ETF Stream and AltFi, having joined the former in September 2018. Post ETF Stream’s acquisition and merger with AltFi, his primary responsibilities are to oversee both businesses strategic objectives, and to develop and grow the services that they offer to its clients and readers, globally.
Prior to joining ETF Stream, he was responsible for the business development and client engagement across Europe’s institutional investor community at Markets Group. Before this, Sam was also the commercial manager for Perspective Publishing, managing the Pensions Age, European Pensions and Charity Times titles. Sam is a devout England rugby fan and can be found frequently attending England’s international fixtures. He is also a passionate watch collector.

David Tuckwell, Editor
David Tuckwell is the editor of ETF Stream. He has years of experience in the ETF industry, and formerly worked for ETF Securities in London (now WisdomTree Investments). In another life, he was one of Australia’s top Tetris players.

Tom Eckett, Deputy Editor
Tom joined ETF Stream as a senior writer in March 2019 before being appointed deputy editor in January. He started his career at Investment Week in August 2016 as an asset management correspondent covering ETFs. Outside the office, he is a big boxing, football and cricket fan and can be found most weekends at Victory Road supporting Leiston FC.

Sophy Moyes, Head of Marketing
Sophy joined ETF Stream as the audience development and marketing events manager in June 2019, before becoming head of marketing in February 2020.
She now works across both ETF Stream and AltFi. Having worked in various industries in the events space, she will be growing our marketing and events strategy at ETF Stream. In her spare time, Sophy enjoys producing radio documentaries and podcasts.

Carla Andrei, Head of Events
Carla is head of events at AltFi and ETF Stream. Previously she studied business administration, marketing & public relations in Romania and worked in finance for several multinational companies including Hewlett Packard and Honeywell.
After moving to London she discovered her passion for planning and logistics which led to several years of experience in organising self-development events. She now has the perfect balance mixing her financial background with events and marketing.
Karolina Bzikot, Marketing & Events Coordinator
Karolina joined ETF Stream as a marketing and events coordinator in February 2020. Since the mergeR was announced, she now does the same at AltFi. She previously worked at Advance HE, a training and development provider for higher education institutions. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and going to the gym.
Afzal Miah, Lead Graphic Designer
Afzal Miah is a Lead Graphic Designer for ETF Stream and AltFi. He’s an experienced designer having worked at many roles within various types of organisations. He enjoys taking complex problems as a challenge and turning them into minimal and engaging designs. If you don’t find him designing, then you’ll be sure to find him traveling with a camera by his side.

David Stevenson is a columnist for the Financial Times (the Adventurous Investor), Investment Week and Money Week. He’s an experienced media entrepreneur (he’s set up a number of online media companies focused on online TV and viral videos) and knowledgeable investment expert. He was also one of the very first journalists to write about the sector in the main nationals.
