Sam is the Managing Director of ETF Stream, and joined in September 2018. His primary responsibility is to oversee the company’s strategic objectives, and to develop and grow the services that ETF Stream offers to its clients and readers. Prior to joining ETF Stream, he was responsible for the business development and client engagement across Europe, for the Institutional Forums team at Markets Group. Prior to this Sam was the Commercial Manager for Perspective Publishing, covering Pensions Age, European Pensions and Charity Times.
David Tuckwell is an Australian journalist and researcher specialising in finance and international politics. He formerly worked in the ETF industry in London. In another life he was a top national Tetris player.
Tom joined ETF Stream as a senior writer in March 2019 before being appointed deputy editor in January 2020. He started his career at Investment Week in August 2016 as an asset management correspondent covering ETFs. Outside the office, he is a big boxing, football and cricket fan and can be found most weekends at Victory Road supporting Leiston FC.
Jamie started at ETF Stream as a reporter in January 2021. Previously, he was a senior journalist at the UK Investor Magazine, Investment Observer, UK Startup Magazine and UK Property Journal. He holds an undergraduate degree in politics and international relations, and a postgraduate degree in ethics. His interests include hiking, pubs, and David Hume.
Sophy joined ETF Stream as the audience development and marketing events manager in June 2019, before becoming head of marketing in February 2020. She now works across both ETF Stream and AltFi. Having worked in various industries in the events space, she will be growing our marketing and events strategy at ETF Stream. In her spare time, Sophy enjoys producing radio documentaries and podcasts.
Carla is head of events at AltFi and ETF Stream. Previously she studied business administration, marketing & public relations in Romania and worked in finance for several multinational companies including Hewlett Packard and Honeywell.
After moving to London she discovered her passion for planning and logistics which led to several years of experience in organising self-development events. She now has the perfect balance mixing her financial background with events and marketing.
Karolina joined ETF Stream as a Marketing & Events Coordinator in February 2020. She previously worked at Advance HE, a training and development provider for higher education institutions. In her spare time she enjoys cooking and going to the gym.
Afzal Miah is a Lead Graphic Designer for ETF Stream and AltFi. He’s an experienced designer having worked at many roles within various types of organisations. He enjoys taking complex problems as a challenge and turning them into minimal and engaging designs. If you don’t find him designing, then you’ll be sure to find him traveling with a camera by his side.
David trained as a quantative economist before moving into financial journalism where he has written about investing and finance for many years. David is the chairman of ETF Stream and columnist for the Financial Times (the Adventurous Investor), Investment Week and Money Week. David is an experienced media entrepreneur (he’s set up a number of online media companies focused on online TV and viral videos) and investment expert of retail repute.
