AXA IM poaches Italy ETF sales head from Franklin Templeton

AXA Investment Managers has named Demis Todeschini as head of ETF sales for Italy from Franklin Templeton.

Based in Milan, Todeschini (pictured) will be responsible for distributing AXA IM’s ETF range across the country to both its wholesale and institutional markets.

He will report to the global head of ETF sales, Olivier Paquier.

Todeschini joins from Franklin Templeton, where he spent four years most recently as senior ETF salesperson for Italy.

Prior to this, he spent 12 years at Borsa Italiana as a senior ETF product specialist and later as a listing and market development manager.

Commenting on the appointment, Paquier said: “Demis brings a wealth of ETF experience across buy and sell side players, ETF product adoption in Italy, ensuring we are well placed to meet the ever-changing needs from investors.”

Pietro Martorella, co-head of client group for AXA IM Core, added: “I join Olivier in welcoming Demis who, with his depth of knowledge of the ETF market, will allow us to continue to grow our ETF business, and strengthen the distribution of AXA IM's ETF range in Italy.”

The appointment came in the same week the French asset manager launched its first fixed income ETF, the AXA IM Euro Credit PAB UCITS ETF (AIPE) which is listed on the Deutsche Boerse with a total expense ratio (TER) of 0.20%.
