Bloomberg is rebranding its Bloomberg Barclays fixed income index range to Bloomberg Indices.

Bloomberg will complete the rebrand on 24 August 2021 which will mark the end of a five-year period since Bloomberg acquired Barclays Risk Analytics and Index Solutions (BRAIS) in 2016.

The benchmarks included in the rebrand are the US, Euro, Asia-Pacific, global aggregate, US municipals, high yield and emerging market indices.

Bespoke fixed income indices will also be part of the rebrand including the Bloomberg Barclays MSCI indices which will become the Bloomberg MSCI indices as of August next year.

Steve Berkley, CEO of Bloomberg Index Services, commented: “We are excited by the growth and innovation that we’ve seen across our indices business, and we look forward to continuing to provide leading index solutions not only in fixed income but across asset classes.”

Bloomberg launched its first equity index in September 2019 before also launching a multi-asset range in May.
