Victoria Hasler, head of fund research at EQ Investors, is set to leave the business after almost three years, ETF Stream can reveal.

Hasler will depart in November at which point EQ Investors’ CIO Kasim Zafar assume responsibilities for the firm’s research capabilities.

The wealth manager also has plans to expand the research team with a fund analyst appointment over the next few months.

Hasler (pictured), who is a member of ETF Stream’s ETF Buyers Club, joined EQ Investors in December 2020 after a six-year stint at Square Mile Investment Consulting & Research.

In her role as director at Square Mile, she was responsible for the research and consultancy output of the firm including a focus on ESG.

Prior to this, Hasler spent four years as a fund analyst at Brewin Dolphin between 2010 and 2014.

EQ Investors said in a statement: “We would like to thank Victoria for her valuable contribution to EQ Investors during a time of significant change in global markets and economies. We wish her all the very best for the future.

“Following Victoria’s exit, Kasim will expand his role to include overseeing EQ’s research capabilities. Kasim will now lead the development of EQ’s asset allocation approach and selection of fund managers.”
