Some 20 months on from Russia invading Ukraine and recent escalation between Israel and Hamas has put new defence ETFs from VanEck and HANetf on investors’ radars.

The VanEck Defense UCITS ETF (DFNS) was Europe’s first defence-focused wrapper after launching as a UCITS equivalent of an existing US-listed VanEck strategy at the end of March.
