Global X expands ETF sales team in Europe with double hire

New appointments will cover French-speaking and Nordic regions

Global X has expanded its European ETF sales team with two appointments covering French-speaking markets and the Nordics.

Tristan Grossetete has been named regional director for French-speaking countries in Europe while Kilian Richter will take on the same role for the Nordics.

Grossetete will be responsible for expanding the firm’s fund distribution across several countries.

Prior to Global X, he spent over five years at active fund house Liontrust Asset Management, most recently as sales manager for the French-speaking regions.

He also worked as a client relationship manager at abrdn.

Meanwhile, Richter will be responsible for growing Global X’s client base in the Nordics.

He joins from MarketAxess. Prior to this, he spent almost two years at HANetf, where he was selling ETFs to Nordic and Swiss clients. He also held roles at STX Group and WisdomTree.

Commenting, Rob Oliver, head of business development at Global X, said: “Global X is thrilled to have hired Grossetete as Regional Director for French-speaking regions in Europe.

“We are also excited to announce the appointment of Richter. He will now be responsible for growing Global X’s footprint of UCITS funds in Nordic region, affirming the firm’s long-term commitment to the region.”

Global X has expanded its ETF range significantly over the course of 2022, the latest of which was the Global X Disruptive Materials UCITS ETF (DMAT) which launched in September. The firm now has over 30 ETFs on the continent.
