White-label ETF issuer HANetf has appointed Michael Geister as director of DACH sales from Deutsche Digital Assets.

Based in Frankfurt, Geister will be responsible for distribution across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Andre Voinea, formerly head of DACH sales, has been promoted to head of sales for Europe following the departure of Simon Dale last month.

Geister previously spent three years at Deutsche Digital Assets as head of crypto ETPs.

Prior to this, he held other sales roles including head of ETF sales for Germany and Austria at VanEck and as director of ETF sales for Germany and Austria at State Street Global Advisors (SSGA), where he held the position for six years.

Geister started his ETP career at ETF Securities, where he spent four years.

Commenting on the hire, Hector McNeil, co-founder and co-CEO of HANetf, said: “His extensive knowledge of the DACH market will be essential to bolstering our distribution capabilities in Europe.

“The hire adds additional strength to our highly experienced sales team and underscores HANetf’s continued growth.”

The move comes alongside the promotion of Andre Voinea, formerly head of DACH Sales, to head of Europe sales at HANetf to provide greater coverage of European regions.

Other hires from the firm came last July when the firm appointed Michael Srour as head of sales for French-speaking regions from First Trust, which was closely followed by naming Ben Slade as sales platform ETF executive from BlackRock a few weeks later.
