HANetf poaches senior legal counsel from DWS

HANetf has hired Shane Hickey as senior legal counsel from DWS.

In his new role, Hickey will be responsible for providing product, legal and regulatory advice to the white-label ETF issuer and its clients.

He spent four years at the German asset manager where he sat in the UK legal team covering the firm’s Xtrackers platforms.

He started his career at Maples before holding roles at A&L Goodbody, King & Wood Mallesons and asset manager M&G Investments.

Also joining HANetf is Seb Alam as a financial analyst where he will be look to enhance the financial systems and analytical tools for the firm.

Commenting on the appointments, Manooj Mistry, COO at HANetf, said: “Both new hires underscore the continued growth of HANetf and our continued commitment to invest in our infrastructure and support functions to efficiently expand our white-label ETP services and capabilities.”

HANetf has made a number of hires in recent months including the appointment of Torsten During as head of ETC structuring from Nomura in April.
