Brazil-based crypto issuer Hashdex has hired Benjamin Ittah as its European senior sales and distribution manager from Tabula Investment Management.

In the newly created role, Ittah (pictured) will be responsible for expanding the firm’s client base and overseeing the distribution of its exchange-traded products (ETP).

Previously, Ittah spent four-and-a-half years building Tabula’s presence across France, Benelux and Geneva.

Prior to this, he clocked up almost seven years over two stints at Société Générale, including more than four years focused on ETF sales and trading.

In his new position, Ittah will report to Hashdex managing director and head of Europe, Laurent Kssis, who joined the firm in March

Marcelo Sampaio, CEO and co-founder of Hashdex, said: “Europe is a key strategic area for Hashdex and we are confident that Benjamin’s extensive experience in the region will allow us to successfully continue our global expansion.”

Kssis added: “With his ETFs knowledge and institutional reach, [Ittah] will be a key part of our European footprint and will be able to address the growing demand for crypto assets from European institutional investors."

Hashdex’s latest hire comes less than two months after it launched its first product in Europe, the Hashdex Nasdaq Crypto Index Europe ETP (HASH).

The firm said it is in the process of launching additional products in the continent “very soon”.
