Invesco has expanded its sales team with the appointment of Joe Bello as UK head of ETF asset managers.
Reporting to Kate Dwyer, who was promoted to head of UK distribution at Invesco in November 2022, Bello (pictured) will be responsible for distributing the firm’s ETF range to UK asset managers.
He joins from BlackRock, where he led the ETF and indexed investments sales team focusing on UK asset managers.
In the role, Bello was responsible for relationships with 50 of the largest global and regional asset management firms, with a particular focus on multi-asset and sustainable investment teams based in London.
Prior to BlackRock, he worked in the specialist sales team focusing on European telecommunications and media research for Nomura International.
Bello has also worked at UBS Wealth Management and Goldman Sachs Asset Management as a mutual fund consultant.
Commenting on the appointment, Dwyer said: “Our ETF business is one of our leading strategic growth drivers, which goes from strength to strength as clients respond to the breadth, depth and innovation of our range.
“Asset managers are an important client group for that business, with sophisticated and evolving needs, and I am excited to have someone of Joe’s calibre and expertise joining us to grow our relationships in this area.”
Invesco recently saw its global head of ETFs Anna Paglia depart to join State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) where she was named chief business officer and global head of ETFs.
Paglia is responsible for developing the long-term growth strategy for its ETF, index, cash and defined contribution businesses.
