JP Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) has made two senior hires from Invesco and BlackRock covering new roles in German sales and capital markets, ETF Stream can reveal.

Simon Werkheiser is set to join from Invesco and will cover ETF sales across asset owners in Germany.

Based in Frankfurt, he will report to Ivan Durdevic, head of ETF distribution for DACH at JPMAM.

Werkheiser has spent just over two years at Invesco, where he led the ETF institutional channel in Germany.

Prior to this, he spent four years at UBS Asset Management as both ETF and index fund sales and wealth management distribution. He also spent seven years at Commerzbank in several sell-side roles, latterly as vice-president of its commodity solutions group.

Elsewhere, Nurul Nasir joins from BlackRock, working within the capital markets team.

Also based in Frankfurt, she will report to Tom Stephens, global co-head of ETF capital markets at JPMAM.

Nasir spent almost six years at BlackRock, working in the iShares ETF markets coverage team specialising in client ETF trading and liquidity requirements.

Prior to this, she spent three years at IHS Markit within its ETF and indices team.

JPMAM declined to comment.

Last month, it was reported JPMAM’s global head of ETF solutions Bryon Lake was leaving the business to join Goldman Sachs Asset Management.

It came after JPMAM appointed former Global X CIO Jon Maier as chief ETF strategist a month earlier.

ETF Stream revealed JP Morgan poached State Street’s Ciaran Fitzpatrick as global head of ETF product management in the securities services division.
