Lyxor has launched five thematic ETFs that incorporate environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors.

The recently launched range includes:

  • Lyxor MSCI Digital Economy ESG Filtered DR UCITS ETF (DIGE)

  • Lyxor MSCI Disruptive Technology ESG Filtered DR UCITS ETF (DTEC)

  • Lyxor MSCI Future Mobility ESG Filtered DR UCITS ETF (ELCR)

  • Lyxor MSCI Millennials ESG Filtered DR UCITS ETF (GENY)

  • Lyxor MSCI Smart Cities ESG Filtered DR UCITS ETF (IQCT)

All five ETFs are listed on the London Stock Exchange, Deutsche Boerse, Euronext Paris and the Six Swiss Exchange with total expense ratios (TERs) of 0.15%.

Each ETF is based on the MSCI ACWI IMI index which includes large, medium and small sized companies from 31 countries. An initial screener removes companies that do not have a significant volume of business within the ETF’s respective theme.

A second screener removes any company that does not meet MSCI’s sustainability criteria such as involvement within the tobacco, nuclear power or controversial weapons industries.

DIGE offers exposure to companies that position themselves along the digital value chain including areas such as social media, cloud computing, e-commerce and digital payment methods.

DTEC is comprised of companies that are expected to generate significant revenue from areas such as 3D printing, the internet of things, cloud computing, fintech, digital payments, healthcare, robotics, clean energy, smart grids and cyber security.

ELCR includes companies active in the fields of electric or autonomous vehicles and electrochemical energy storage companies.

GENY focuses on companies driven by the millennial generation such as those in the areas of fitness, apparel, social media, entertainment, travel and leisure and financial services that primarily focus on the millennial age group.

Finally, IQCT targets companies that seek solutions for the urban infrastructure of the future. This includes the development of “smart” technologies within buildings, homes, security, mobility, water management and energy.

Lyxor has made a significant push in developing its ESG and sustainable product offering. The firm launched its DAX ESG ETF in April as well as a sustainable ETF suite in March, designed to counter climate change.
