Société Générale has completed the acquisition and integration of Commerzbank’s equity markets and commodities (EMC) business.

The acquisition of the EMC’s flow trading book includes the exchange-traded product range as well as the market making and product issuance systems.

This was the last step of the integration of Commerzbank's EMC activities within SocGen which initiated in Q2 2019.

SocGen has integrated Commerzbank’s active and passive investment solutions including the ComStage ETF range.

Lyxor finalised this merge at the end of 2019 with the launch of an asset management branch in Germany.

The firm hopes to develop its pan-European footprint, notably in the German ETP market.
