State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) has promoted its Australian ETF head Meaghan Victor to head of SPDR Asia Pacific distribution.

In her new role, Victor (pictured) will be responsible for distributing ETFs throughout Hong Kong and Japan on top of Australia and Singapore, which currently fall under her remit.

She will continue to report to Rory Tobin, global head of SPDR ETFs at SSGA.

Victor joined State Street in 2017, having previously worked at BT Financial Group as a senior salesperson.

Tobin commented: "Meaghan's ETF expertise will be welcomed by the Hong Kong and Japanese markets, where growth in ETFs has outpaced other key regional areas.

"Institutional investors in Hong Kong and Japan are particularly drawn to ETFs to help them manage risk and provide liquidity to their holdings.

"Our Asia Pacific business is strengthened from Meaghan's appointment and will benefit from the continued focus to provide investment solutions that meet our clients' needs, including simple, transparent and liquid investments."
