WisdomTree has named Eva Casey as sales director for Ireland and Channel Islands from State Street Global Advisors (SSGA).
Based in Dublin and reporting to Ravinder Azad, head of UK and Ireland distribution, Casey becomes WisdomTree’s first salesperson dedicated to Ireland and the Channel Islands.
She will be responsible for distributing the firm's exchange-traded product (ETP) range, maintaining relationships and broadening its client base with a focus on institutions and intermediaries.
Casey joins WisdomTree after two years as vice president of institutional sales at SSGA.
Previously, she spent seven years in UK and Ireland business development at Invesco and held sales and analyst roles at Société Générale and Aviva Investors.
Commenting on the hire, Alexis Marinof, head of WisdomTree Europe, said: “As our first sales presence based in Ireland, this hire has strategic importance and allows us to better cover an important and growing market.”
Azad added: “Eva’s appointment demonstrates our commitment to clients in Ireland and the Channel Islands, signalling our growth plans for the region.”
WisdomTree’s latest hire came after the firm strengthened its Iberia ETF sales team with the appointment of Carlos de Andrés as director of sales for the region in May.
