WisdomTree ETF sales director for UK and Ireland Nilesh Parmar has left the firm.

Parmar (pictured) joined WisdomTree in March 2021 and was tasked with heading up business development across institutional clients with a core focus on asset managers and private banks.

Previously, he spent just under a year as an EMEA institutional relationship manager at the World Gold Council.

He was responsible for pitching the case for gold allocations within portfolios and collaborating with ETF issuers to increase the traction of their gold exchange-traded commodities (ETCs).

Prior to this, he spent more than a year as head of global research sales at Deutsche Bank and six years in ETF sales covering the UK and Ireland for DWS.

Parmar said: “I helped WisdomTree establish a solid footprint as an alternative ETF provider in the UK and Ireland, building relationships with key institutional clients with whom the firm previously lacked a presence.”

The news comes after the firm expanded its distribution footprint in Iberia last year with the appointment of Carlos de Andrés as director of sales for the region.
