The FTSE EPRA Nareit Developed Green Index is designed to provide exposure to listed real estate with strong sustainability metrics by taking into account ESG factors in its design. Index weighs constituents based on two sustainable investment measures: Green Certification and Energy Usage (data is sourced from GeoPhy). In addition, the UN Controversies exclusion list includes companies that potentially breach the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) principles. The principles are classified into four categories; Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-corruption. The FTSE EPRA Nareit Developed Green Index covers the following regions: North America, Developed Europe, Japan and Developed Asia-Pacific ex Japan.
