The iBoxx EUR Eurozone Sovereigns Green Bonds Capped Index aims to reflect the performance of Sovereign Green bonds denominated in EUR which are issued by Eurozone Governments to fund projects with direct environmental benefits and that meet specific credit quality and liquidity requirements. The Green Bonds must also adhere to the criteria set out in the Climate Bonds Initiative’s Climate Bonds Taxonomy. In order to be eligible for inclusion in the index, the issuers of the bonds must also meet certain environmental, social and governance (ESG) screening criteria.
