The Team

Sam Ridley, Managing Director

Sam is the managing director of ETF Stream, and joined in September 2018. His primary responsibility is to oversee the company’s strategic objectives, and to develop and grow the services that ETF Stream offers to its clients and readers. Prior to joining ETF Stream, he was responsible for the business development and client engagement across Europe, for the Institutional Forums team at Markets Group. Prior to this Sam was the Commercial Manager for Perspective Publishing, covering Pensions Age, European Pensions and Charity Times.

Tom Eckett, Editor

Tom is editor of ETF Stream. He joined ETF Stream as a senior writer in March 2019 before being appointed deputy editor in January 2020 and subsequently editor in March 2021. He started his career at Investment Week in August 2016 as an asset management correspondent covering ETFs. Outside the office, he is a big boxing, football and cricket fan and can be found most weekends at Victory Road supporting Leiston FC.

Theo joined ETF Stream as a senior reporter in September 2021. He has over four years of investment writing experience spanning pensions and retail investments, most recently at Citywire where he was a senior reporter covering environmental, social and governance investing.

Previously, she covered small and mid-cap equities for a financial media company, with a particular focus on healthcare stocks following her time working at GE Healthcare. Bob is the Head of Marketing of ETF Stream. With over 20 years’ experience in marketing across a range of publishing, information and events companies, Bob is responsible for shaping the marketing strategy of the business. In his spare time Bob likes collecting ‘weird stuff’ and enjoying time with his family.

Yasser Jamil, Digital Marketing Manager

Yasser is the digital marketing manager at ETF Stream & AltFi. He has previously worked in the Enterprise Tech Publishing industry. He brings his content and digital marketing experience to further grow the company. He also holds a master’s degree in Strategic Marketing. In his spare time, he enjoys watching cricket and listening to metal.

This experience allowed her to develop a great attention to detail along with client management skills. Her interests include interior design, urban jungle ‘plants’ and real estate shows.

Annie Tuckwell joined AltFi and ETF Stream as content creation assistant in 2022 and was promoted to multi-media and content executive in December of the same year. After studying French literature at Oxford University, she worked in various communications roles in Melbourne, Australia. She has now relocated to London and is enjoying utilising her writing skills within the marketing sphere. Her hobbies include baking and watching Korean dramas.

She previously worked in advertising agencies in Lisbon, Portugal, creating digital campaigns for multinational brands. This allowed Cat to develop a keen eye for detail. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to Hip-Hop and R&B and go to street art exhibitions.
