Fidelity International has appointed Andrea Semino as ETF and index sales director for Italy from Credit Suisse Asset Management, ETF Stream can reveal.

In his new role, Semino (pictured) will lead business development for the firm’s passive and active ETF offering while managing client relationships and developing new strategic partnerships in Italy.

Based in Milan, he will report to Fidelity's head of ETF and index distribution for Europe Stefan Kuhn and Italy country head Cosmo Schinaia.

Semino joins from Credit Suisse AM, where he spent eight years across client portfolio management and product specialist roles and latterly almost two years as the firm’s head of index and ETF sales for Italy.

Prior to this, he spent three years as an investment strategist at BlackRock and held roles in equity, fixed income and derivatives sales across Mediobanca and Credit Agricole CIB.

Commenting on the hire, Kuhn said: “Andrea brings a wealth of experience of the Italian market and knowledge of the broader European ETF market.

“His appointment will reinforce our team and help us accelerate the development of our ETF and index expertise.”

Semino’s arrival comes after Fidelity expanded its sales presence in central Europe with the appointment of Tim Breitbach as head of ETF distribution for Germany, Austria and Switzerland in November 2022.
