Hargreaves Lansdown has appointed Victoria Hasler as head of fund research after she departed EQ Investors earlier this month, ETF Stream revealed.

Effective 5 February, Hasler (pictured) will join the investment analysis and research team and will be responsible for managing the fund research team, as well as fund selection investment processes for Hargreaves Lansdown Asset Management investment solutions.

Hasler, who is a member of ETF Stream’s ETF Buyers Club, joined EQ Investors as head of fund research in December 2020 and spent three years maintaining a buy list of around 150 funds and advising portfolio managers on fund suitability.

Prior to this, she spent six years as a director at Square Mile, responsible for the firm’s research and consultancy output with a focus on ESG.

She also spent four years as a fund analyst at Brewin Dolphin and more than six years as an investment manager at Rothschild.

Emma Wall, head of investment analysis and research at Hargreaves Lansdown, commented: “Victoria has more than 20 years’ experience in investment analysis, with a broad range of knowledge and expertise, specialising in fixed income and ESG.

“In the multi-stage interview process she impressed with her client-centric attitude and broad market experience.”

Hasler will become Hargreaves Lansdown’s latest hire after Toby Vaughan was appointed CIO from Brown Shipley.

The fund issuer and platform operator has also been active in the ETF space this year, after launching three multi-asset funds featuring ETFs in January before scrapping trading fees for ETFs in April.
